100,000 FB LIKES, DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

We manage a few pages, and we also have had others manage our pages, but people say if you have 100,000 likes it makes a big difference, is it true?
It’s a yes and no, it all depends on how you put it out there for your target market.
There are many who will offer you for a low fee to market your page and get you so many likes, but they sometimes bring you the wrong likes.
If you are placing ads via facebook, don’t focus just on the likes, but look at making sure you set the right target. Later on it really helps.
If we take an example where you want to sell android devices, you may put your ad open to all. This will just get you a mixture of everything, it can sometimes give you the odd lucky sale, and you could also be helping a new target market discover your product, but half your ad revenue would be most likely wasted. Lets say you achieve 100,000 likes.
If you target your ad to those who are interested in android deices, android applications, and define your region correctly where you plan to sell, and also the age group you wish to target, this would be more effective. Depending on the product you plan to market, if it’s a popular advertised or searched item, it may cost you more, but you will be getting your target. Lets say you got 20,000 likes out of the exercise for the same amount.
From the 20,000 you may have sold 100 devices Vs the other where you may have sold 10 devices for 100,000 likes. The other thing is, those with similar interested share their interests, and this helps get your word around better.
Try it out, it’s not always about who has the most likes, but who has the best interested likes.
